Running a campaign
Tracking progress
Campaign states, the progress bar, and how to read what is happening while a window runs.
Every campaign is visible in your campaign list from the moment it is created until long after it closes.
Campaign states
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Scheduled | Created with a future start time. Nothing is running yet. |
| Running | The window is open and activity is building on the pair. |
| Completed | The paid hours have elapsed and the placement has ended. |
| Cancelled | Stopped before it ran. Rare, and always explained. |
Reading the progress bar
The bar shows how much of the paid window has elapsed, not how well the campaign is performing. A campaign 40% through a 24-hour package has used roughly 9.5 hours of it.
Alongside it you get the exact start and end times in UTC, and a live countdown of how much of the window is left. The figures update while the page is open and recalculate on every load, so they are correct even after leaving the tab open overnight.
Progress is time elapsed. Position on the board is a separate thing entirely, and it moves continuously — check Dexscreener itself for that.
Watching the actual board
The place to watch your ranking is Dexscreener. Each campaign card links straight to your pair, and the trending board for your chain shows where it currently sits.
Expect movement. A pair that sits at 4 in a quiet hour may be at 12 during a market-wide rally with identical activity behind it, because the ranking is relative to everything else trading. This is why we commit to presence rather than rank.
The first half hour
There is a gap between the window opening and the pair appearing on the list. The board reads activity over a rolling period, so it takes time for new volume to register.
Typical entry runs from about 11 minutes on the quietest boards to 27 on Solana. Full per-network figures. If the pair has not appeared well past the figure for its chain, that is worth a ticket.
Following it from code
Everything on the campaign page is available from the campaigns endpoint, including state, progress percentage and seconds remaining, so you can wire it into your own dashboard or alerting.
